    A Dry Goods Facilities Manager manages and oversees construction of Dry Goods new store projects as well as directing and coordinating existing store remodeling and construction projects. Oversees facilities management and maintenance for Dry Goods locations. Primary job responsibilities of a Dry Goods Facilities Manager include the following:


    -Works directly with general contractors, sub-contractors, and architects on new construction projects; attends regular site visits to analyze progress made, percent of completion, and overall quality of work.  Completes final review of all projects to ensure   work is completed according to plan and up to Company standards.

    -Oversees and resolves store operational problems as they occur.  Inspects problem areas or equipment, if needed.  Contracts services, purchases equipment, or takes any other steps necessary to resolve problems quickly and completely.

    -Develops and analyzes budgets for all construction projects; responsible for ensuring on budget with projects.

    -Manages and analyzes Dry Goods store operational and maintenance budgets; approves invoices for services and repairs.

    -Oversees Dry Good stores’ housekeeping procedures.  Provides on-site training as needed.

    -Coordinates remodeling and new construction projects.

    -Performs periodic inspections of all Dry Goods stores to ensure facilities are clean and maintained up to Company standards.

    -Maintains documentation of as-built plans for all locations.  Provides storage of plans in organized manner for both hard copy and electronic media to allow easy access for other Dry Goods and Von Maur personnel.

    -Communicates effectively with Von Maur Center personnel, Dry Goods store personnel, Management, contractors, and product and service providers.
