A Cosmetics Counter Manager develops and motivates the counter associates by monitoring the counter’s level of customer service.  Builds sales through training counter associates and promoting counter stock maintenance and visual presentation.  Primary job responsibilities of a Cosmetics Counter Manager include the following:   -Assists and motivates associates to provide excellent customer service daily; sets an example for others to follow.  -Trains cosmetic counter associates on application techniques, sales techniques, and product knowledge. -Records sales, and inventory as specified by the cosmetic vendors.  Communicates orders for products, as needed. -Increases department/cosmetic counter business and customer base. -Coordinates and plans events to increase business, including gift with purchase events. -Sells at or above sales goals, achieves average unit sale and items per transaction goals, and maintains account solicitation. -Executes all duties of a cosmetic associate.

A Department Manager develops and motivates department associates.  Develops the department’s sales growth by monitoring and improving the department’s level of customer service and visual presentation.  Primary job responsibilities of a Department Manager include the following:   -Observes, assists, and motivates sales associates to provide excellent customer service daily; sets an example for others to follow. -Trains sales associates in sales technique, product knowledge, and department and store policies and procedures as needed. -Assesses sales associates' performance and writes and conducts performance reviews, fairly and timely.  Follows all disciplinary procedures when necessary. -Provides feedback to department associates on selling and account statistics on a bi-weekly basis, as well as other performance observations as needed. -Addresses concerns to the department in a timely manner; develops and implements solutions, reporting to Store Management as necessary. -Assists and monitors sales associates' use of the Customer Follow-Up Program to improve the quality of service the customer receives, and to increase sales. -Executes all duties of a sales associate. -Must be available to work a rotation of day, evening, and weekend shifts.  May be scheduled to work 6 days a week and up to 8 hours a day during peak department business times.

A Stock and Housekeeping Associate maintains a clean store environment for customers and employees.  Unloads truck of new merchandise and supplies, distributes it to the proper areas, and loads merchandise and supplies onto the truck to go to other store locations.  Primary job responsibilities of a Stock & Housekeeping Associate include the following:   -Vacuums assigned portion of carpeted areas daily.  Vacuums around edges in dressing rooms and other areas weekly, or as needed.  Removes carpet spots as needed. -Cleans and restocks rest rooms daily.  Checks and cleans rest rooms every hour, depending on how busy the store is. -Cleans entrances, escalators, employee lounges, locker room and restrooms daily. -Dry mops floors daily.  May wet mop floors, or clean floors with scrubbing machine several times a week.  Removes spots as needed. -Collects trash, dumps ash trays, collects and crushes empty boxes daily. -Unloads truck, sorts new merchandise, and delivers it to the proper department. -Picks up merchandise to be transferred to another store and loads it on the truck; prepares and loads outgoing truck shipments.
